Free DHTML scripts provided by Will Rogers once said "You need to buy more land. They don't make that anymore." Well it might not have been those exact words but it was something to that effect. Well, you can just about say that about 'Heart Pine or Antique Heart Pine' lumber too. Heart Pine is now salvaged from old buildings built 75 to 150 years ago. I've read some where old logs are being salvaged from river bottoms where in the old days the rivers were used to transport logs to saw mills. Many logs, for some reason, got too heavy and just sank to the bottom of the river. Mr. Bullard has been able to purchase old timbers from buildings built before the civil war of 1861 and afterward. He is relentlessly looking for (and finding) Heart Pine and Antique Heart Pine beams and timbers. He won't let us in on his little secret. He probably knows 'bout everything there is to know about Heart Pine'. And he really knows how to re-mill and reprocess his findings into beautiful lumber for floors and furniture. See the Photo Gallery page to look at some unique and beautiful things he's done with that lumber.
